Crocheted Shawl

OK so I have finished all the holiday gifts for this year, and decided to make something for myself.  It is an easy crochet, although the directions were a little confusing in places.  I muddled through and made this cute shawl. You can see from the first picture that I ran out of the deep purple yarn, so finished it up with black.  Was just trying to use up parts of skeins I had in my stash, and didn't want to spend more money on yarn for this project.  So we will call it an eclectic use of color  ;-)

The pattern is a ravelry download, you do have to be a ravelry member to download the pattern, but registration in ravelry is free and I find so many patterns on this site!
